For the love of flowers!
Last month my friend Lindy (@thimbleandclothblog) and I started a flower club. It was the only thing in the world that made sense to do. We love flowers, we love to hang out, thus; #FLOWERCLUB was born. And I sincerely hope that you like flowers too, because I’ll probably be blogging these on the regular.
So what is flower club, you ask? It’s simple. We meet once a week. We find flowers and we do are best to make them into pretty arrangements or bouquets. Right now, we are kind of into “the bigger the better”. And because we aren’t florists in real life (only in pretend life), we can celebrate even the worst of jobs, because to us, they are beautiful. I think what I love most about our flower club is that it reminds me of being a kid again. Just hanging with your bestie, using your imagination, and having all the fun in the world, without a single worry of what any else one thinks.
When I think about it like that, I think everyone should have a “flower club”. I mean, it doesn’t have to be flowers for everyone, but we all need that thing that makes us feel like kids inside. The world can be tough on grown-ups, and it’s just the most precious gift to feel all young and innocent again. I think it’s good for the soul.
Oops, I didn’t intend for this post to get deep or long, I just wanted to show you our first flower arrangements. And the best part is they are all February Blooms! I mean can you even believe how beautiful it’s been over here in the PNW!!?!?!? Oh yah, and we made a pretty little flower crown out of rosemary!
Okay, thats it for week one. But week two will be on the blog oh-so-soon!
